Woodinville Welcomes the World Collab Lager

Soccer is coming to the Seattle area in a big way, and Woodinville is here for it! Woodinville, Washington has long been a destination for alcohol tourism of all stripes, so it should come as no surprise to find us gathering around a beer (as one does) to welcome you into our corner of the Sammamish River Valley.

Over 30 Woodinville breweries, wineries, bars and restaurants have come together to present “Group W” PNW Pilsner. This beer is Woodinville’s love letter to soccer, and our invitation to join us in celebrating the beautiful game during this summer’s festivities.

Group W is a PNW pilsner brewed at Watts Brewing Company in the West Valley District of Woodinville. Light and crisp, it takes the world’s most popular beer style and reinterprets it through the palate of the Pacific Northwest. That means hops! Here we showcase Krush and Loral hops, both bred and grown here in the Evergreen State. Krush is a brand new hop variety that has been taking the brewing world by storm, bringing berry, citrus and tropical notes, while Loral is a modern classic, lending an elegant floral aroma.

The delicate layering of hops alongside premium pilsner malt adds just enough character to showcase our local terroir without overwhelming the beer’s light and easy drinking nature. Group W is the perfect pairing for watching soccer, or just enjoying a sunny PNW summer.
