drone Strike

Long before the USAF was using UAVs to rain Hellfire in the Middle East, or Amazon was airlifting toilet paper to your doorstep, the word "drone" actually referred to bees.  Specifically those shiftless male honeybees who, instead of gathering pollen or making honey, exist solely to mate with the queen.  Well they're fed up with the misappropriation of their identity and are launching a campaign to take back the word “drone” the only way they know how: by stopping what little work they do.

The drones are going on strike.

If you support the drones, you can join them by kicking back and having a glass of Drone Strike IPA.  There may be plenty of work to be done, but there's also plenty of beer to drink, so take a load off and worry about that work stuff tomorrow.

Drone Strike is a wheat session IPA: a full-flavored IPA designed for an afternoon in the sun or any other time when you want the hops but not the full buzz. The wheat adds a bigger body that feels like a full-blown IPA despite the lower ABV, and pairs beautifully with the Ella and Mosaic hops. Look for an explosion of tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine, and a hint of tangerine in the hop aroma.

Drone Strike is available draft-only for a limited time at our taproom, and across the Seattle area. This is a beer worth tracking down. Skip work if you have to, we are on strike after all. No proceeds from the sale of this beer will go directly to the affected bees.  They don't have feelings and don't use money.  We just like a good pun.
