Releases to Date

Wheat Lager - 4.8% ABV

This lager is at once both delicate and hearty. Lightly kilned Bohemian pilsner malt sets the stage for an exceptionally pale beer, with the German lager yeast providing a clean, smooth fermentation where even the subtlest flavors can shine. The addition of malted wheat fortifies the beer with a firm wheat bread character, and German-grown Saphir hops garnish the glass like strawberry blossoms.

Munich Helles - 4% ABV

Munich Helles is one of our favorite styles of German lager. It’s light and refreshing, yet malt-forward with the delicate bready flavor of pilsner malt. Here we pair Czech-grown pilsner malt with Loral hops, a floral variety from the Yakima Valley.

Alora Cold IPA - 6% ABV

"Cold IPA" is a sub-style of IPA brewed with rice or corn and fermented with lager yeast. We thought this clean, lighter bodied approach to IPA would be the perfect testbed to experiment with Alora, a brand new hop variety from Hopsteiner that claims aromas of peach, apricot, melon and yuzu.

Vista Blonde Ale - 4.8% ABV

This experimental beer constitutes a series of firsts for us: first blonde ale, first beer with Vista hops, and first time using a product called “Honey Malt”.  No, it doesn’t have honey, it’s  a very lightly-kilned crystal malt that can give an impression of honey-like sweetness.  We pair the light malt base with Vista hops, a brand new variety fresh out of the USDA hop lab in Corvallis.

El Dorado Single Hop IPA - 6% ABV

El Dorado is a hop variety from the Yakima valley with a candied orange character.  We brewed this batch with only El Dorado hops to evaluate them for use in a couple new upcoming recipes, and fermented with our house Kölsch yeast for a unique twist on an IPA.

Talus Single Hop IPA - 6% ABV

This single hop experiment showcases a new hop variety called Talus.  Talus is a daughter of Sabro, one of the first hops bred from the neomexicanus cultivars discovered growing wild in Colorado and New Mexico.  Here we use 100% Washington-grown talus in both the whirlpool and Dry hop, fermented with our signature German ale yeast.

Scotch Ale - 7.7% ABV

This next entry in the Field Trials series explores one of our favorite styles from the British Isles:  Scotch ale.  The recipe employs a broad array of crystal malts to create a layered flavor profile that blends caramel, leather, and nutty notes with the crisp apple/pear from the ale fermentation.

Red IPA collab w/ The Hop and Hound - 6.2% ABV

We’re bringing back red IPA for a moment to kick off our Field Trials series of one-off experimental beers.  This recipe pairs the malt bill of an Irish red ale with the hops of a west coast IPA, specifically Mosaic, Strata and El Dorado.  Each of these varieties carries a unique berry note that we pair with the rich caramel malt base.
