Sonorina Super IPA
Here’s some pub trivia for you:
Q: What species of bee pollinates passion fruit?
A: X. sonorina, also know as the Hawaiian carpenter bee. This bee is the largest species of bee in Hawaii, and the males sport a beautiful golden color, almost like they’re wearing a tiny aloha shirt.
Sounds like the perfect mascot for a thiolized double IPA!
Sonorina Super IPA uses our thiolized yeast to turn the tropical fruit character up to 11, and this time we’re pushing it to its limits with a bigger grain bill and more hops. A giant double dry hop of Waimea, Simcoe, and Ahtanum puts this beer over the top.
Look for a big tropical fruit aroma, with passion fruit, mango, and floral alcohol on the nose. On the palate, it turns to more tangerine and peach with grapefruit and pine playing a supporting role. If you love big IPAs, this is your jam!
Sonorina Super IPA will be available draft-only for a limited time across the Watts distribution footprint.
